Welcome! Don't let that breeder tell you it's from jumping. It is genetic. My puppy, now nearing 16, has two grade 4s. She had surgery at age two on one leg but they didn't want to fix the other. Over the years I've wished they had just fixed it, but she has done very well without it. If I had a puppy with grades 2-3, I think I would see a board certified ortho vet for an opinion on whether surgery is best.
