We DID It!
I can't stand how happy I am that he didn't hate it.
It was spontaneous. It was 20 degrees Celsius today (68F) and beautifully sunny and I thought ... screw it. Let's just do it!
I took him 40/50K on back streets to the Green Timbers Park that he loves so much. He did so well! Little nose up in the breeze.
We got to the park and I realized my mistake. I couldn't go for a walk!! I couldn't leave my bike. Sad face. The pet palace is just bungied onto the bike and could be stolen *snap* just like that.
But we did hang out in the grass and sniffed stuff and then went to Starbucks for delicious... water lol. He got LOTS of attention!
My wee motorcycle rider. Happy smile.

What I learned:
- Any out of town riding or rides faster than 50k (30mph) I will close the mesh flap so he can't stick his head out.
- In town riding ... Monty's getting doggles!
- I have to pick a command word for "lay down" to let him know he can go inside the palace.
- I have to do some alterations to the tether system. Right now he is tethered in on the side with it clipped to his back (he has a heavy duty harness). I am going to get Tom to put a hook in the centre of the floor of the palace and I will rig up a hook on the belly part of his harness. That way there will be NO way for him to get his hind legs out!!
YAY Monty!
AND he didn't fight me when I put him back in it when we left Green Timbers.
AND AND he didn't fight me when I put him back in it when we left Starbucks.
AND AND AND he didn't fight me when I put him back in it so I could take these pictures!!
Dammit I LOVE my little man!!
