I have been thinking about sharing a story from my vet specialist's office yesterday. I think this is the perfect thread for it.
I had one of my fosters there for a splint change and there was a gal in there with two precious yorkie puppies. One was a 10 month old female and the other an 8 week old male. I asked why she was there and she said the puppy has PDA. I asked if the breeder was helping with the cost OR if she got her money back that she paid for him. Oh no....she said the breeder will only "swap out". She said that she found out about his issues when he was with her for only two days and she was thinking about turning him back over until she found out what the breeder planned to do with him. The breeder said there are many people who cannot afford yorkies, so she would place him in a home with someone like that. She assured her she would not euthanize him. Interestingly, the gal was a CCU nurse and she was not about to let that happen to this puppy. What a nice person and how fortunate for this precious puppy. But...seriously horrible...she has had the puppy since he was 6 weeks old AND he has PDA. Great breeder eh? Wonder what kind of excuses someone could come up for this piece of garbage.

She would let that puppy go to a person with no money where he would get sick, suffer, and die. Oh...but she would not euthanize him....WTH...people are stone cold evil. Humane euthanasia would be far better than letting him live with the condition.
