Anyone ride with their dog?
The weather is beginning to warm up enough where I can take Monty for his first ride on my motorcycle. I want to be able to leave the vents open so he can see outside through the mesh coverings for his first ride. I am now poking around the web to see what people have done and what strategies they have used.
I am around a lot of bikes. Monty has had the odd barking reactions to some of the louder bikes and my response has been a big "oh it's okay! All good! Come. Let's go see ..." and I pick him up and take him to the bike while it is sitting in idle. He gets to sniff around and lick the rider and feel the vibration up close and personal. The barking always stops the second we start walking toward the bike.
His first ride will be on my Yamaha V-Star 1100. It's not loud. I will be securing the kuryakyn pet palace to the passenger seat of my bike so he will be very close to me and a bit more sheltered from the wind
I am excited. we have done a lot of work indoors getting him used to the pet palace.
