I am not a pro groomer by ANY stretch of the imaginaton....but, right or wrong, I shave around my baby's rectum, and have never had an issue....maybe because I start them early? I dont run the clippers OVER their rectum....I put the trimmer at the rectum, then shave out from the rectum....do this all the way around their little rectum.....I dont have any issues of "running scared" or scooting activity following this shave around their rectum. I use a Peanut to do peri-anal trims.....
