Did they shave her butt ? If yes then it's probably just too short. Lots of dogs can't have the but under the tail "shaved" it needs to be scissor cut. When the butt is shaved the hair actually pokes them in that area each time they move or wag their tail & also when they go poo, so be sure to tell your groomer NOT to shave her butt. Some dogs get so upset over this that they will not eat, they will vomit, shake, but plant or run from their but, licking & chewing at the area is often a sign that the hair is poking them IF it's not an anal gland issue. I have one who is having this issue rite now as I had the groomer shave as short as she could , even though we both know better with this dog but one of my other dogs has ringworm so I need to be able to check his skin well daily to be sure he's not getting any sores on him & he either refuses to move or he runs from his butt like a sidewinder & does the butt plant about every 2 to 5 ft whenever he does move. Soooo that's most likely whats going on with your pup & nothing the groomer did to her or any other kind of trauma.
