I have a small backyard and we are surrounded by other homes. My neighbor asked why I didn't just let Piper stay outside and play by herself--I 'should let her have some fun'. I responded that as safe as it seems, it only takes a second for something bad to happen---whether it be over the fence or down from the sky. Piper is about 9lbs, but two pounds or ten pounds, these are little, little babies who trust us to keep them safe--And though, of course, that is not always possible, we need to do our best.
Yorkiemom, you are one of thee strongest, most loving people ever...That you were able to recover from such a tragedy speaks volumes in your strength and beliefs. It is wonderful that you continue, provide for, and share your love with your little ones and the rest of us. Big, grateful hug!
