I would never allow my little dogs to run around alone, even in my fenced in back yard, any more than I would put a 14 month old baby on a highway esplanade to play unsupervised.
Absolutely! After our hawk attack incident a few years ago my baby can no longer go out and play in our little yard without me hovering and carrying the old tennis racquet or rake! I hate it that she can't enjoy the yard freely as she should be able to, but it is what it is! So we play outside with the ball or frisbee with me on the ready with a killer backhand! Only safe way! And as I'm sure, Yorkiemom1 can attest to how fast it happens! We were sooo very very lucky!

So folks be very attentive and keep these babies safe !!

(Plus remember they are federally protected! Umm, not our babies, the hawks)
