Not as bad as Jack Russells.
JRTs are probably the most active terriers. Highly trainable, but more likely to be hyper.
I admit that my boys' outdoor time is always on a leash. Our yard is full of dangers and we don't have anywhere safe to let them off leash.
They do love the outdoors.
My neighbor's tiny Yorkie is like a little energizer bunny bouncing off the walls. My boys aren't like that, but they do need lots of exercise and entertainment.
