This is a tough situation. My Gidget is my therapy emotional support (not officially) every day. I tell people that she is with me 24/7 and keeps me on track emotionally. People who won't accept her are only there for me occasionally. Why would I want to trade 24/7 for occasionally. This is not always easy to make that decision.
