It is soooooooo very frustrating....you do everything you think you can do, to make sure they are getting safe things to play with, chew, eat, etc....and ya know, sometimes things just happen when all precautions have been taken.

The only chew toys my dogs have are big rope things, those Kong toys, which are REAL heavy duty rubber, I have a wheel-tire looking thing that looks like a heavy duty rubber tire from a tricycle, I let them have large tennis balls, the larger dogs get a ball the size of a softball....(but remember one of Oprahs dogs choked to death on a tennis ball)....the only thing I give my dogs to chew up and eat are Milk Bones...good old 70 year old Milk Bones, like WE all ate when WE were kids!!!.....I get the largest ones they make for my babies so no one gets a small piece of milk bone in their throat...they chew off pieces and eat it......and if they manage to swallow an oversized piece, which has never happened because they break off in small chunks, it is a food substance not rubber or nylon or something like that, so it is digested!
