my daughters and I have really thick hair and we love our wet brushes. We use them wet and dry. The bristles are VERY flexible and pretty much bend out of a big tangle, which takes longer to brush but! it is very sensitive and doesn't hurt at all. I use it on my little 5 month yorkie and she falls asleep under the blow dryer.
Why no balls on the tips? They do not get stuck on tangles at all because as I said, the bristles are super duper flexible.
Thumbs up on The Wet Brush from me...but, it won't be very effective on extremely tangled hair.
