Hi all!!

So I have a bit of time off work for Easter, and on Saturday, I'm thinking about taking a daytrip. I just got back from Disney World a few weeks ago (solo trip, just me and only me!) but want to do something fun with my Yorkie! Either overnight or just the day!

I'm from Pittsburgh, PA, and Lake Erie is about a 3 hour drive. I was thinking about going there to an unguarded beach, but read about how long grass can have ticks and cause Lymes Disease. So i have a few questions:

1) Is there anyway to know where ticks will be? If I carry him over to the beachy area or keep him in his stroller, can anything still get on him? Are beaches/lake areas not a good idea for dogs? I definintely won't go if this is a concern at all.

2) Any other suggestions for a day trip with my dog? It's going to be in the mid 60's on Saturday, so we won't be swimming, but some adventure (or really any dog friendly thing to do) would be fun for us.
