Very much agreed. It may be okay for people to use in controlled amounts medicinally. It may not be harmful if smoke is blown in dogs' faces. But, if ingested in large amounts, it
could be fatal for dogs. There have been instances where dogs have died from ingesting pot, be it the pot itself or that the dog choked on its own vomit due to the pot resulting in death. It wouldn't matter whether it was a direct or indirect cause, because by then the dog would have gotten sick because of it. And if not properly cared for, they
can die. It's very very sickening how some irresponsible/unethical/ignorant people think it's 'funny' to get their dogs high off pot or drunk off alcohol. That's just animal abuse!
It would be good practice not to smoke pot around the dogs, so that one might not accidentally leave traces of it behind where the dogs may access it while the people are high and 'not really there'. If there's a chance of people accidentally leaving food on the coffee table and the dogs getting sick from eating it, there's just as much chance of accidentally leaving a bag of pot / joints / remains and the dogs getting to it too! It's really our responsibility to make sure we protect them because they cannot protect themselves...
