Usually and not always they are just out of it so I have always keep them in the bed by me in the family room and then when I went to bed I brought them into my bedroom (I picked up the whole bed with them in it) and put it by my bed on the floor. Never heard a peep out of them. Maybe if your little one cries to get into bed I probably would put them in my bed with their bed so they have a little padding around them and are not bumped in the night. I am really a sucker for letting them sleep with me and I am not a hard sleeper so I wake up if they start moving around.
