These babies are so very special and there is absolutely NO ROOM for mistakes or misjudgements.....mistakes and such, will kill these tinies, no second chances....
It has been my experience that most people that go out of their way to have one of these tinies, has not even cracked a book that would give them ANY vital information they need, just to be sure the baby survives! These babies are routinely dropped, stepped on, run over, doors slammed on them, drownings in small fish ponds in the back yard, on and on and on.....reputable breeders that have tinies will NOT sell them to just anyone that has the money to buy the baby...they are not usually offered for sale to the general public, they are kept behind the scenes and PERHAPS, a friend of the breeder that has vast experience/knowledge about what it takes to safely co-exist with these tinies, will be offered the baby..... | Great advice from everyone on this thread! While my heart goes out to a 2-pound adult, the "no room for mistakes" advice is surely true. And as lovestiny says, a lot depends on your lifestyle. Could you coddle and protect that sweet boy for the rest of his life, and could you afford the vet bills that are likely to arise with such a tiny one?
