Welcome to YT, yorkies puppies can be over whelming for anyone that has never owned one. Take a deep breath, it WILL get better. I have had 4 Yorkies all at 8 weeks old. You need to confine Bella to a smaller area. x-pens, Iris pens are good for this. Here Is how I potty trained ALL my puppies. Place the pad where you want her to go. If she pees someplace pick up the pad, absorb her pee, place the pad back where it belongs, pick up Bella, place her on that pad and use the command word in a FIRM voice "pee pee on the pad" (or what ever word you use for peeing). If she poops on the floor, pick up the poop, place it on the pad, pick up Bella, place her on the pad with the poop on it, use command word again in a FIRM voice "poo poo on the pad". No loud voice, no hollering, just a FIRM voice. I fully trained ALL my puppies FIRST on paper (no wee wee pads back then lol) at 5 months old they were 100% paper trained. THEN I started to house break them to go out side. I also worked full time. They were fed at 7AM and walked at 7:30AM, even if they had just made on the pad I walked them anyway. Dogs have built in clocks, dogs are creatures of habit, they get use to doing certain things at certain times. ALL my puppies were 100% house broken at 7 months old. The key word is CONSISTENCY , feed at same time every day, walk or let them out in the yard at the same time every day even if they just made on the pad. Yorkies are VERY SMART, she will learn after she eats her alarm will let her know when she will be walked or let out to make. If she did not pee or poo on the pad keep her out until she does her business, no playing when it's potty time, when outside tell her what you want her to do, Bella make pee pee, Bella make poo poo,and stay out until she does her business, when she does, either reward her with a treat or praise like crazy, clap your hands and do the happy dance lol. If she did make on the pad take her out anyway and still give the command, "Bella make pee pee, Bella make poo, remember, this is NOT a play period, this is potty time only, if she already made on the pad chances are she may not make, but keep her out for 15 minutes. When I had puppies I had no back yard, they had to be leashed walked, they would pee right away but for pooping they had a special place that they would do their poop lol, it was a 20 minute walk, as puppies just being taught to make outside the entire walk I would be telling them what I wanted them to do, when they did I praised and made a big fuss over pooping lol. Again, CONSISTENCY is a MUST. Feed, walk or let out SUPERVISED at the same time EVERYDAY and EVERY NIGHT, If you feed, walk or let her out 3 times a day, it MUST BE THE SAME TIME EVERYDAY. A 3 month old puppy is just a baby, and accident will happen, also all dogs are diff. they may have to go out sooner then 30 minutes. I had one dog, she was use to being fed at 7am, walked at 7:30am, walked at 4:30pm when I came home from work, and fed at 5PM, when I bought a 2nd puppy home that pup had to be on the same schedule as the older one, when I bought the 3rd pup home, again she had to be on the same schedule as the 2 older ones. Feed Bella if she makes on the pad before 30 minutes then you know you have to get her out earlier, maybe 20 minutes after she eats.Yorkies are by NO MEANS STUCK UP lol they are regal dogs and prance when they walk lol I guess that makes them appear to be stuck up lol. You need to socialize her with ppl and animals, dogs. They are very friendly dogs, love ppl and dogs if properly socialized, they are high energy, needs lots of exercise to tire them out lol, very mischievous (busy body) high maintenance ONLY if you keep them in full coat. I keep Cody in a puppy clip, very low maintenance,we have a yard and I want him to be a dog, have fun and if that means he wants to roll all over the yard, a puppy clip allows him to do this. You have Bella a few days and you love her lol, that love will deepen everyday you have her. Yorkies are an awesome breed, they need to be near us at all times, the crave attention, LOVE to please us, are BIG teasers, and such fun dogs. CONSISTENCY and lots of patience and praise, praise, praise either with treats or just clap your hands and doing the happy dance. She will get it.
