This is quite an old thread. I ended up having the bump removed and biopsied while Uni was under for her spay. It ended up being a follicular cyst, one of several she has had and that we had removed and biopsied. I'm done having her bumps taken off and tested for $100 a pop. If she gets anymore, I will just keep an eye on them and if they get large or odd shaped, then we will do it again.

If your boy hasn't had any yet, I would biopsy this one, and during his neuter would be the perfect time to do it.
