Thankfully, most everyone's answers are related to the heartworm test. Yes, my vet does require the heartworm test every year. According to her, they can get heartworms even on medication (although rare). However, mosquitoes are horrible in Mississippi. We have them all year long. As to the rabies vaccine, I did find out that he will receive it this year, and then every 3 years after that. It was the other vaccines I was concerned about being given with the rabies vaccine.
