Cushings meds, as you probably know, are extremely toxic and can have side effects -- how have you confirmed it's not the meds? And/or, have you confirmed a latest ACTH test bc he could be OVER medicated, causing way too *low* (dangerously and life-threateningly) cortisol levels in the body -- and when that happens, you want to give him a cortisol pill or shot ASAP.

If that's already been taken care of, then I'd be wondering about side effects and would take him off this med - see if there is improvement once out of his system; and then try different med.

My Wylie, btw, is 11 and has had Cushings since he was about 4.5 yrs old. He does just awesome with it...so hang in there!
With the correct approach, this can be managed....I am concerned about the symptoms he is having now...could easily be from the meds....is your vet checking his levels regularly? Good decision getting this baby to a specialist immediately....his symptoms could be from overdosing on the meds he is on....I would stop them NOW, get him into a specialist tomorrow, and get a course of treatment for this baby....like Ann said, this is treatable if approached properly....get some help for your baby from a specialist, and for your peace of mind....I can just imagine what YOU are experiencing as we speak.....when they start to deteriorate right in front of you, it is God awful, gut wrenching, heart breaking.
