"more bang for your buck" so to speak.

You are wise NOT to put that baby back in with momma....momma will kill the baby if given a chance....she is NOT a devoted momma and if you do decide to put that baby in with her, do not turn your head for even a second....it just takes a second for her to bite that baby in half.
Thanks so much. She only gets supervised visitation. Today puppy weighs 5.3 oz. She nursed from a bottle for a little while, but not long. Mother still doesn't have much milk to speak of, if any. I've been giving her goat milk, which she loves. She is really thin. Won't eat much, but loves salmon. I usually make her food with meat, rice, and vegetables. Now she tries to pick out just the meat. I guess I need to grind up her food so that she can't do that.
Puppy seems to have a round tummy, yet she seems to want more food. Mother licks her to stimulate bm, so I guess she's going enough. Does formula ever constipate puppies? How do you know if they are going poop enough? I know this is probably a crazy question, but it just seems like her belly is full.
Thanks for all your help.
