Is your bitch losing weight? What is her diet? She should be eating a dry puppy food mixed with many things...you can make a mixture of chicken/rice/cottage/cooked eggs/small amount of liver and add dry. Keep the bowl full..will she eat yoghart? She should be on a calcium tab also..(give her crushed TUMS. One tab per day.)
IF she is not losing weight and the pups are doing well..not crying and gaining weight, then she is making plenty of milk...the milk can not always be expressed..milk will let down as the pups nurse and it is far better to make a touch too little milk then too much..that can lead to eclampsia, where mom makes milk by the buckets and the pups keep draining her dry so she makes more...what mom needs is to make just enough milk to keep her litter growing..good luck
PS..if she does not eat well then you must suppliment the pups yourself. |
