I am also on the hunt for some sort of sling. I have spent hours scouring the internet and am very surprised that I haven't been able to find something. I have been experimenting with different fabrics and feel confident that I am going to be able to pull something together. Currently I hold him with one arm kind of tucked at my waist. Monty fits very comfortably there and I am wanting to make something for this position. It will have to go over my other shoulder so there is no risk of him slipping off. This way when I am out and about and need both hands and it's unsafe to put him down ... voila!
I have looked at a lot of baby slings but they don't offer the right kind of support for his body shape. He wouldn't stay laying on his back LOL. That made me laugh! He does lay down on my arm though. I am thinking it will be something that has some sort of semi-hard yet flexible skinny board that would give a tiny bit of a surface. |
