hiya! yeah, we just put Teddy in the box and praised him when he went. He then started to just hop in by himself because, although the sides are high, the front is low so it's easy for him to get in and out of the box.
having the pads contained in the box, I think, minimizes mess which is great and makes it easier to take him to strange places because he knows to go where the box is and not carpets, floors, etc.
