Well I did go to the hospital and turn in an application and a copy of my resume. Now I just have to wait. Would you believe that my current job called yesterday and wanted to know if I could start coming in at 5 am. When I explained that I have to get my mom in law out of bed and in her chair before I leave for work and that would mean she would have to get up at 430 and that I didn't really want to do that to her, she said so does that mean that you can come in. Believe me I told her no. My hubby had a bad night last night with alot of chest pain, and my mom in laws blood sugar dropped very low, so I was taking care of two people at the same time. Talk about a stresser. Good news is that his chest pain finally eased up and her sugar went up. So I finally got to bed and was able to sleep some. I have applied to about 7 different places at least now including three different hospitals. I don't want to work in another nursing home and have to have full time hours so can't apply to another home health care or hospice unless they can guarantee me full time which most of them don't. And the only shifts I can work are day shift or 12 hour night shifts so that does limit me a little. But surely there is something for me out there somewhere. I do want to thank you guys again for listening and for all of the encouragement that you give me. You have no idea how much it helps to know that there are people out there that care and will listen to me. BTW last night when my hubby was so sick both yorkies were on the bed with him, one on each side and would not leave his side until his chest pain was gone. Talk about loyalty. |
