This is such a sad event....and all too common for new puppy buyers. It does however, shine a light directly in exactly WHY these "breeders" dump these babies on new owners at 8 weeks and earlier....then THEY dont have to deal with this issue in their babies, the new owner has the problem.

So now it is absolutely imperative for YOU to be absolutely sure that baby's glucose does not drop below what is required to keep this baby not only alive, but mentally sharp....every time you find your baby unresponsive, or in some cases, having seizures, the baby is affected mentally and brain cells die. There are "breeders" that want you to believe hypoglycemia is a normal expectation in yorkies...this is NOT true....I have never had a baby with lo blood sugar issues from my breedings.....that is not something that happens normally in well bred dogs.....NONE of the breeders, especially ones with show lines, have persistent, consistent, frequent issues with hypoglycemia in our babies, so do not believe it when some backyard breeder or a pet shop unloads a baby that is too young to be separated from its momma to begin with, and it has issues with hypoglycemia.

With THAT cleared up, you would do real well to get on line and buy Dr.Millers NutraDrops....the dogs LOVE this stuff, it is easy to give, and it isnt all thick and sticky and gets all in their face hairs.... Most babies love this stuff....I had a bottle on the floor and was giving a dose to one I had just had spayed, I knocked the bottle over, and the others rushed in and I was fighting to keep the group from licking the spilled bottle of NutraDrops up from the floor! They love it and it is to be given with ANY traumatic issues or any disruption in what these dogs consider normal...vet visits, car rides, long trips, post op, etc....it has vitamines and is not only used to bring up a dropping glucose level...you can use this stuff on long car rides when you cant feed the dog because it gets carsick....it is great and people need to have this stuff on hand at all times.

You need to give this baby at least 1cc every 4 hours, until the baby starts eating enough to keep its own blood sugar up....offer the pup Gerber baby food chicken, from your finger for meals every 4 hours....if he will not lick it from your finger, get a 5cc syringe from your vet, and give this baby at least 5cc of chicken baby food every 4 hours, advancing to every 5 hours when baby is 10 weeks old....with amount increased to 8cc every 5 hours at 10 weeks old, 10cc every 6 hours at 12 weeks old....then you can start weaning to puppy food, probably canned...

If you go to work in the morning, be absolutely sure you dose that baby with the NutraDrops before you leave, and be sure the baby is fed before you leave for work....or you will come home to an unconscious/unresponsive/dead baby.
