Glad to hear it went better than expected. Scrappy was about 10 years old when he was picked up as a stray and became our foster. He had one undescended testicle and they still went ahead with his neuter event though he was so old. His recovery time was very long compared to a regular neuter, about two weeks. Every so often he would either try to get up or lay down and he would scream out in pain. Sometimes more than a few yelps, but several. It was heartbreaking and I couldn't do anything to make it better. With time he healed. He would try to lay down but since he was sore he would lay his head down but have his butt up in the air. I felt bad for laughing at him.
