You might ask if she could have Tramadol. Deramaxx is an anti-inflammatory. Helps with pain, but they might approve a pain med in addition. Can't hurt to ask.
She had a rough recovery from the dental surgery, they sent her home with Deramaxx and Bupernorphine. Way too strong!! A couple times we thought she stopped breathing, she was so loopy, just stared off into space, wouldn't sleep. I was on the couch with her the first two nights sitting up almost the entire time because if I laid down with her she would just stand on my chest and just blank stare over my head. Holding her upright on our arms seemed to be her only comfort. My husband would relieve me around 4am so I could go to bed! Her recovery seemed to improve rapidly after we stopped giving her the Bupernorphine, we are just reluctant to have her on any pain meds after that.

We don't know when the surgery would be, I imagine soon after the xrays, if needed. It's just so scary after the dental! They told us "they had a hard time keeping her under and her bp dropped but {either} she recovered or we recovered her"! But all my doggie mom ears heard was 'she woke up during surgery and she almost died!'
