Keeping a Yorkie quiet after surgery can be a challenge. When Max was neutered, he tried to jump, but stopped himself when he felt some pain. I held him a lot and even carried him on his 1 mile walking route every morning for about 10 days. That made him happy. He ran a little indoors, but I tried to discourage by getting down on the floor to play with him in one spot, tug-o-war instead of fetch.
I also understand crying when you dropped him off for surgery.
I sobbed when I had to leave Max.
