Well, I found out two things. Due to pre-anesthesia blood work, it came out the Bentley has kidney disease and therefore is not a candidate for anesthesia. We are working on getting him to eat a Science Diet homemade food diet as recommended by our vet. We are going to recheck after a couple of weeks to see if there is any improvement. He went from 3.5 lbs in the last year to 2.73 lbs. He has a BUN of 94. The vet said he could have 5 days or 2 years. We have agreed not allow him to suffer but will do everything we can to keep him happy and with us as long as we can. As side note: my mother died almost 20 years ago from end stage renal disease. Toward the end, she said, "If I was a dog, they'd take me out back and shoot me, but because I am human, they make me suffer until the end."

Porsche is borderline, so she is going through with her cleaning tomorrow. Her whole bottom 6 incisors move as if they are a bridge, one unit. I talked to the tech who does the cleaning to warn her. She said they will all have to be removed. Porsche is also on the special diet as well.

Correction...Bentley has a BUN of 92.
