The vet that answered the question of sleep changes really didn't investigate Bentley's issues and so just gave an answer from the symptoms we provided. It ended up being related to kidney disease. Bentley drinks a lot during the day and night and so needs to potty a lot. We have a potty pad downstairs for him that he uses on the tiled kitchen. All of the other floors are laminate and the bed is very high even with doggy stairs. One of us now usually sleeps downstairs with him every night.
