Go for it! I put Eddie through a bunch of agility classes, and he was very successful in the novice division of his 8" height class. It was always a challenge to make the qualifying times, but he had the moves and was undefeated against dachshunds!

You've probably run across this, but they say don't start any serious agility classes until after at least a year. You want your pup's growth plates to close before asking him to jump and sprint too much.

We only competed for one year because Eddie had surgery on his knee, and I decided I didn't want him to put any more stress on it than he had to. I started training my other dog, Jillie, as well, but found out she had mild LP and I pulled her out of it for the same reason.
