Default Home with head trauma

I previously posted about lily suffering from head trauma and i could only afford for her to be in the hospital for 19 hours where she received fluid therapy and pain meds. i have her now and she is sleeping but when she is awake she will whine until i come pet her. she's still drooling and has no control over her head. her eyes aren't twitching and she can now move her legs which is an improvement. she will also start kicking and thrashing if she whines and I'm not petting her which scares me because on the way home she put her self in horrible positions because of her neck i really don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight. they said not to start feeding her until she shows signs of improvement but they were so vague on what i should be looking for. all the big signs like control of the neck and walking and everything else was estimated to possibly take weeks or months to recover so what small signs should i be looking for? they fear if i feed her even the smallest amount with a syeringe that she may choke because they don't know if she has control over her throat to swallow. and she hasn't eaten since yesterday morning then. They gave me a really strong pain medication to give her twice a day but other than that nothing. has any one heard of recovery from this type of thing? or any tips ? they said to try giving her all day today and tomorrow and if i can't get her to eat or she isn't improving then it will be time to consider putting her to rest. but i wanted to try everything possible.
