When he reaches sexual maturity, he will begin hiking his leg and peeing on everything in the house, in the yard, etc. That comes with sexual maturity....you can let him run around with a belly band on 24/7 so he does not mark everything in the house/on the property....you just have to decide if that is something you can adjust to and he can live with.
When I came on here years ago....I am sure a couple of people will remember....and joyously championed one of our members who decided to have her little dog spayed, I went on and on about all the right reasons she needed to do it, how wonderful it was that she had made that decision, on and on and on.....and her little girl went in to be spayed, and she didnt survive the procedure.....I was absolutely stunned and heartbroken and I said then I would NEVER again encourage anyone to have their baby spayed/neutered....and I have stood strong to that decision....I remain dedicated to that promise I made myself, as I have NEVER gotten over what happened in that situation, with that members baby girl.
YOU make the decision, based on what YOU can live with, and nothing else. You read all the information you can get your hands on, and you dont let anyone talk you into doing anything you are not completely comfortable with, because it is your decision and you must be comfortable and sure of your decision.
Good luck with whatever you decide....I am sure it will be a decision you can live with in your own mind and heart. |
