Both of my boys are neutered. There is a lot of debate on whether or not it is beneficial to health in the long run, preventing cancer. That kind of health risk is not as great as it is with females.
I like that I don't have to worry about my boys potentially getting into trouble with a female dog, especially if we encounter a female in heat.
Neutering can prevent marking territory in the house. It's not a guarantee, but definitely a factor. Your boy could be a late bloomer in that department.
Really depends on your individual circumstances and environment.
