You are correct that puppies, even adult dogs, can take some time to adjust to a new home. Being confident and happy around her will be reassuring and help her to settle in and learn the routine.
I had to hand feed Max his first year. Yorkie can be funny that way.
A bed in the crate might be helpful. Max liked his beds in his open crate, his xpen, and under the kitchen table. Anything that feels like a cozy den is reassuring to a little pup.
