Hi, yesterday night I brought home a rescued neutered 8-year old female Yorkie from a neighbour who wasn't looking after her. I took her to the vet who checked her over and I'm to take her again in two weeks time to get her teeth cleaned; over-all she health wasn't in a very bad condition, however, she was filthy, full of knots and smelt awful. My 3 year old un-neutered male Yorkie (Jake) wouldn't let her get near him.
This morning I took her to a professional groomer who shaved and washed her. She looked and smelt beautiful afterwards. I've named her Lucy. I took her home and since then Jake has not stopped humping her. He's going nuts, won't eat, won't play with us, he's forgotten all about us! My husband is offended, lol! I had planned to neuter Jake but just now I've got a lot of expenses - do you think he will settle down a bit, or shall I book him to neuter straight away? Also, if he's neutered do you think we will get back a little of the Jake we knew - playing with us, eating, loving treats etc.
Thanks, any advice would be highly appreciated!
