My puppy is 10 months tomorrow and he does this sometimes I just switch the potty pad around and it does the trick lol. He will eventually start going on his own he's still a baby he'll get it, but even then I still suggest you do this til he's 1 yrs old
Unfortunately. My puppy was doing so good on his own for a few months I thought he was fully potty pad trained but lately he has been going wherever he wants to go. So I had to start taking him to his pad again every 2 hrs. I am now training him to go outside since he's a marker now. He used to go potty on his pad on command but now he just sits in his xpen staring at me telling me he doesn't need to go but once I take him outside he lifts his leg like 10x he's turned into a little marking monster
