I can relate, I got my yorkie Cricket at 6 weeks, ( I had just lost my previous yorkie Daisy at 16 weeks old due to aspiration pneumonia, I had taken her to be groomed and something happened to her , I think water got in her mouth and after one night at the ER vets office, she died)

I was devastated! I got Cricket, (current yorkie) from a family that had the parents as their pets and it was their first litter. when I went to go pick up my puppy, I was having a hard time deciding which one and the woman said that if they were keeping one (they weren't) they would keep a certain one, well, that's the one I took. I guess I'm telling my experience to say that a couple weeks after I got her home, Cricket became sick and she was later diagnosed with a liver shunt, she had surgery a few weeks after that to repair her shunt and is doing better, she will be 3 on March 27th and weighs 8 lbs. I'm honestly so glad I have her because I shudder to think of what would have happened to her had I NOT taken her. I know I probably should have turned and ran in the opposite direction, but I didn't and now I have a dog that I LOVE TO PIECES!!!!!!
