I fold the washclothes in a diagonal - elongated manned (leaving them 3 or 4 inches wide -whatever! This is on the bias -so I wrap them quite tight initially. Otherwise they will be off in a few minutes.

I especially love these when we go visiting. I can let my pup run around in other people's houses without worrying.

Mine are the thin, inexpensive washclothes -- that you can buy in a bundle.

I don't - but I could put a pad in them. I think this would work fine. I don't know about plastic. I would think that the pee - would just slide off plastic. I think you need to use something more absorbent. Also, using two washclothes instead of one might be an option.

I have purchased bellybands before. They are expensive and I like my washclothes much better. They aren't bulky and I think they look better I know if I have them under any clothes - you don't even know they're there.
