I got so lucky in the male dog department! I got Rowan fixed the day after he turned 6 months. He is 11 months old now and I have only seen him lift his leg twice. I don't encourage it for sure. He squats to pee and he does a great job. He is very well trained to go on a pee pad or outside and has very few accidents for the last couple months.

I would just try to be consistent and keep up with the schedule. Mine are on a schedule and they keep it pretty good. If I am not home they will use the pads if I can't take them out or when I don't take them out because of the weather.

It was frustrating for a while when they would go wherever and then they would have accidents. Just hang in there and he will get it eventually.
