After our puppy escaped her x-pen we bought a D Link camera at Best Buy. (We now confine her to one room with baby gates) My husband set it all up and he did it rather quickly so it seemed easy enough. Ours is not directly connected to the router, it is connected through WIFI. We are able to watch from any computer or phone with our login. It has night vision and we can move the camera around the room to follow her and hear what is going on at the house. We can't talk to her through it and it does not record but for what we needed it for, it's perfect and was affordable. It was somewhere around $60.00 - $80.00.
