Scottie also potties outdoors and he used to have a smell. I realized it was his face (he's constantly sniffing other dog pee) AND he's not good at aiming (gets his pee all over his hind legs). So to keep him clean, I rinse his face and was his legs with pet shampoo every time after he comes inside! Now he never smells!
