First - is this rabies shot a puppy rabies or are your yorkies adults?

The 1 yr and 3 yr rabies shot are *always* the exact same shot, btw. The ONLY difference is whether or not 1) this is the first rabies shot (always only good for ONE year, then need a booster, which lasts for 3 years from then on out --or-- 2) whether or not you missed the window for your revaccination of rabies....if you missed the window, then you have to start over, get a rabies shot, wait 1 year, get a booster, then go to every 3 years.

As far as distemper/parvo, they should be every 3 years at the MOST. DOI is really up to 7 years according to the DOI studies, but the AAHA did a compromise and recommends the shots every 3 years at this time.

Personally, at the age of 7-ish for my dogs - I'll no longer get distemper/parvo as at that age they'll have lifetime immunity; I'll only get rabies by law then.
