An indoor little dog that is exposed to nothing will likely not need much vaccination or preventive medication.
Veterinarians make a lot of money on vaccines and meds and many are surely influenced by the lure of profit margin. Be an informed consumer as your Yorkie's life may depend on it!
Agreed. I spoke to my vet about Leukaemia vaccinations for my cat, each year, who told me that a 'house' cat who never goes outside is not at risk. Would I like to schedule a Leukaemia booster for my cat that never goes outside?

OH YEAH, Sure!!! thanks!

People really do have to do research or rely on the vet who, at worst, over vaccinates. Under vaccination or not vaccinating at all can be deadly. Over vaccinating can cause issues but, like you say, weigh the pros and cons and balance these with knowledge or lack thereof for a full picture.
