I've tried this app called Presence. It can also be used as home security too. You can set up your iPad (or any old phone with a camera), use your computer at work to see, use your android or iPhone to see remotely. It just uses your wifi at home. You can set the settings to have motion activated.

When I tried this on Scottie, it was HILARIOUS. I used an iPad at home. There's this phone function. So I tried it. Apparently my face showed up on the iPad and Scottie experience his first video chat with mommy and you can imagine his expression. hahaha...
He was so cute. He sat down when I told him to over video chat. He was so confused!
