Formally from NYC, I walked my 3 dogs everyday, no grass. You can walk your dogs if that's what you want, it may take them a bit longer to do their business if they are use to grass, but they will make. Then I moved to Pa. commuted to NY job, had 2 dogs 11 y/o an 5 y/o that had to now use pee pads, they learned quickly to use the pads. The choice is yours.
