A warm head isn't too serious because being outside in the cold and then coming into a warm house can make their head and ears warm and the inside of their ears a little pink. Or if they are running around and so on.
The runny nose is what bothers me and is an idication of a respitory infection. I would take Shadow to the vet. I have heard that a runny nose is not a good sign.
