I am afraid of vaccines and medications for my dogs as well as for myself. I do believe they can cause serious problems. What science needs to do now is measure the risks vs benefits to let us decide what is worth the risk. Meanwhile, we each have to do our own research and vaccinate and medicate according to risks in our own geographical regions and with lifestyle in mind. An indoor little dog that is exposed to nothing will likely not need much vaccination or preventive medication.
Veterinarians make a lot of money on vaccines and meds and many are surely influenced by the lure of profit margin. Be an informed consumer as your Yorkie's life may depend on it! |
