Also would not hurt, for the second meeting to be at Oscar's house, and then the pup leaves. They both benefit from this because they both have had the experience of this being just a visit and then they both get back to their normal.
When we had to leave Mario with a friend for a week, we made sure to take him there and bring him home at least once, so he gets the idea it is not for good. Of course, Mario was abandoned/mistreated before, so we had more to worry about in that regard.
